The sun has shown its face over the last few days, the beautiful early spring flowers are in bloom and I am thinking about how to decorate the house for Easter.
As you may have gathered from earlier blogs, I am a great fan of handcrafted decorations. This blog has some ideas for easy to make homemade Easter decorations and some lovely handcrafted items available to buy online.
Eggs are synonymous with Easter and I have fallen in love with this alternative way to use them as decorations. Simply hard boil the eggs then once cooled, attach a little hook in the top, stamp or paint Happy Easter onto the individual eggs and hang with twine. You have to agree they look amazing!
Unfortunately I can’t give credit to whoever designed and photographed this beautiful display as I found the picture on Pinterest with no link to the author but they have done a magnificent job.
How cute are these crocheted Easter eggs, available to purchase from Green Fox Farms on Etsy.com if crochet isn’t your thing! You could hang them from a twiggy tree or put in a basket to give a homemade seasonal look to your room.
Also available from Etsy, BoutiqueChicGallery offers this delightful Easter table centrepiece, which would bring a lot of Easter cheer to your decorations.
Stunning handmade bunnies out of delightful chintz material is just one of the things that talented Lucy Mae Designs makes all year round. However, what better time than Easter to have one made as a decoration or as an alternative Easter gift. Aptly named handmadegorgeousness, you can find her facebook shop here.
Bunting looks great for any occasion and Funkyfabrix has a tutorial on their blog showing you how to make your own version of this colourful bunny bunting.
You can’t have eggs (or Easter decorations!) without chickens so how about making one of these exceptionally cute chicks to showcase, using a yellow paper lantern and decorating with foam, you can find the tutorial on hatter and hares blog.
Or you could purchase this kit that we found on eBay!
