The warm weather has finally arrived! With no rain around to make a rainbow, create your own with a brightly coloured rainbow themed party. The kids will love setting up as much as the party itself – here’s some ideas of what to do.
Set the mood
Great fun can be had decorating a rainbow party. String multi-coloured balloons together to make a rainbow arch or hang rainbow-coloured paper lanterns around the house and garden. Multi-coloured streamers also look great – in fact anything in rainbow colours will work!
Time for Tea
Set the party table with colourful tableware and then serve up an abundance of rainbow-themed food.
Of course fruit kebabs are a perfect rainbow desert, but if you get creative, there is so much more you can do. How about rainbow sandwiches or a vegetable platter with houmous dip?
When you have run out of ideas for rainbow food then use rainbow-coloured serving containers to keep the theme going.
Depending on the age of the children, create a craft themed party with tables set up with rainbow-coloured pencils and paints; or rainbow themed games like pin the pot of gold on the rainbow.
If you have the baking skills required, a rainbow cake is an amazing finish to your summer celebration. If not, a display of rainbow cupcakes will look equally as good.
